In 2001 we introduced the first In-Store Golf Expo at Golfers’ Warehouse, with 4 retail locations in Connecticut and Rhode Island. The event exceeded all sales forecasts and resulted in sales of over $100,000.00 in the Hartford location alone on Saturday of the 4 day event which featured live broadcasts, demos, free gifts and a host of other specials.

The promotion was so successful that the marketing formula used is repeated annually and served as a grand opening model as the leading golf retailer expanded into Massachusetts by adding 3 additional stores by the end of 2003.

Vendor support also increased as a result of the promotion. Top vendors such as Callaway, Taylor Made and Cobra recognized the added value in supporting Golfers’ Warehouse marketing plans. It became a winning event for all!
